# Billing

> How billing works on Tarout - subscription plans plus usage-based add-ons

# Billing

Tarout billing is **subscription-based**. You pick a plan for app hosting and add
paid add-ons (databases, storage, email) as you need them. Metered products -
Cloud Servers and the AI Gateway - draw from a separate prepaid balance.

## Plans

| Plan | Price | What you get |
|------|-------|--------------|
| **Free** | 0 SAR | 1 shared app, 1 managed database (2 MB), 50 MB object storage. No credit card required. |
| **Starter** | 19 SAR/month (flat) | Up to 5 apps on the shared pool, custom domains, and SSL. |
| **Pro (dedicated)** | 399 / 849 / 1599 SAR/month | Your own dedicated server - Small (2 vCPU / 4 GB, up to 10 apps), Medium (4 vCPU / 16 GB, up to 25 apps), or Large (8 vCPU / 32 GB, up to 50 apps). |

## Add-ons

Add-ons are billed monthly on top of your plan:

| Managed database (Starter / Standard / Pro) | 29 / 49 / 99 SAR/month |
| Object storage | 0.12 SAR per GB per month |
| Email Service | 15 SAR/month (requires an active Tarout-managed domain) |

## Metered Usage (prepaid balance)

Cloud Servers (billed by the hour, plus hourly storage add-ons) and the AI
Gateway (billed per token) draw from a separate prepaid balance rather than
your subscription. One AI Gateway key calls every model in the catalog, and
each key can carry an optional monthly credit limit in SAR.

## Payments

Checkout is handled by **Moyasar** and supports card, Apple Pay, and STC Pay. When
you subscribe, your card is securely tokenized so each billing cycle renews
automatically. Manage or cancel your subscription any time from **Settings →
Billing**.

Prices shown are **net**. VAT is added at checkout only while Tarout is registered
for VAT with ZATCA; until then, invoices are issued without VAT.

## Viewing Your Billing

Go to **Settings → Billing** in the dashboard to see your current plan, active
add-ons, invoices, and payment method.
