# Prepaid Balance

> The prepaid balance that funds metered usage on Tarout

# Prepaid Balance

Subscriptions and add-ons (apps, databases, storage, email) are billed directly
through **Moyasar** checkout. A separate **prepaid balance** funds Tarout's
**metered** products:

- **AI Gateway** - billed per token in SAR. One key calls every model in the
  catalog, and each key can have an optional monthly credit limit.
- **Cloud Servers** - the server itself is billed by the hour while it runs.
  Storage add-ons (additional volumes, snapshots) and reserved static IPs are
  billed hourly **even while the server is stopped** - they hold provisioned
  capacity. Delete what you no longer need to stop the charges; storage you kept
  after terminating a server is listed under **Kept storage** on the Servers page.

## Topping Up

1. Go to **Wallet** in the dashboard (an organization owner accepts the Compute
   Wallet agreement there once, before the first top-up).
2. Open the prepaid balance section.
3. Enter the amount you want to add.
4. Pay via Moyasar (card, Apple Pay, or STC Pay).
5. The balance is available immediately after payment confirms.

There are no fixed credit packages - top up any amount you like.

## How Metered Usage Is Deducted

As you use the AI Gateway or run a Cloud Server, usage is metered and deducted
from your prepaid balance. Watch the balance and a breakdown of usage in
**Wallet** in the dashboard.

## Amounts

All internal amounts are stored in **halalas** (1 SAR = 100 halalas) to avoid
floating-point rounding. The dashboard displays amounts in SAR.
